The Wonders of Eternity

Ephesians 3:9  A bird's eye view of the earth from the air helps us see how small we really are.  Moving to the view from space we see the earth and can't see the people.  Moving to an even greater distance if only in our mind, we can go so far that the earth disappears in a fog of white light.   Powerful telescopes now show us images of what can only be an infinite cosmos.  Looking into the heavens we gain a some perspective of where we are in the vast expanse of the heavens, a cosmological speck of planetary insignificance. To the reasoning soul this contemplation often prompts the questions of where we came from and where we will go after death. Our present life, this reality of today is what philosophers have contended with for millennia.  Why are we here?  Sources of religious knowledge in classical theism have been fixed and the canonization of the known scriptural documents have been closed without really answering these questions...

Eternal life is the desire of every Christian and most human beings probably entertain some hope of such a life.  A life without the troubles we associate with mortality.   Atheists on the other hand dismiss anything they can't put their eyes or hands on and choose not to believe in that which they don't physically see.    This philosophy is in reality just a choice not to believe and is at its core based on a fallacy.  The declaration to say their is no God is to say that they have somehow reached into the deepest corners of space and time to say there is no one else. ...

There are thousands of denominations in the Christian community today.  Why is this so?  After all there is only one Bible and one Savior and one God the Father that we worship.  The Bible states there should be one Lord, one faith and one baptism. The simple self evident truth is that Jesus established a church, men changed it, then reformers changed it again and now it keeps changing.  While professing the Bible as the common book of scripture there are still prof ound misunderstandings and disagreements as scholars and theologians  continue to debate its content and meaning. The reason we have a Bible is because God anciently called prophets to lead his people. Revelation was on the earth through authorized servants that spoke for God. Even though the people did not always follow them they were there as a constant voice. I have had many discussions with my Christian friends that love God and believe in the mercy of Jesus Christ. I appreciate very much their testimonies of faith. I have pondered on a regular basis for many years what it means to be called a father. My small children now grown up have called me dad since they could talk. Fatherhood should be regarded as a privilege and when honored brings order and peace to the world. As we consider the generations each of us is an essential link in a chain of creation implemented by God in the Garden of Eden. It is about understanding who we are as individuals and human beings. How important is this opportunity to share in creation? How does one describe the feeling of seeing their own newborn child and thinking about the potential of their life?  What is the power or influence of a father or the lack thereof?  When viewed with an eternal perspective, understanding begins to unfold and we see why and how God is our Eternal Father. The apostle Paul exclaimed "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named." Ephesians 3:14,15. Th e family is a divine institution. There is a family in Heaven and on earth. God ordained it to be so and allows each of us to participate if we so choose. By observation, it is his preferred pattern of human creation. It is more important than any other organization on the earth and the most important in heaven. He ordained Marriage and the family. Marriage either existed and came from heaven or else it would be a first-time experiment. There is no love formed if there is no creation. He joined man and woman for that purpose. How we use those powers to create is up to us. The consequences of how we use them is not.
