The Wonders of Eternity

One question about life that philosophers, theologians and thinking people, in general, have considered in all ages, has to do with the existence of suffering, injustice, and evil. If the world was created by a kind and loving God why does such an apparent contradiction exist? Some truth seekers want to know why suffering would be so ubiquitous in creation.  Some people simply acknowledge the perplexity of it and move on. Christian scholars may quote some scriptures and give a philosophical reason but still don't really have a complete answer.  They often claim it is simply a mystery, as even God is a mystery to them. If good and evil did not exist, what would there be in order for choices to exist? Why did God place of tree in Eden, calling it the knowledge of good and evil? We would simply be pawns in a random existence with no evident purpose if we didn't of choices and some over arching laws of the universe did not govern the nature of good or evil.  ...

Who and what is God? What does it mean to be created in the image of God?  When we speak of God, we are speaking of an eternal Godhead consisting of three individual persons.  Exalted beings, holy individuals.  They consist of God, the Father who is an exalted, glorious individual, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost.   We also speak of the pattern of female glory and intelligence, a Heavenly Mother, the completeness of heavenly parents, perfect joining of male and female. The general understanding of God has been of a single incorporeal god force as taught in mainstream theological institutions. Jesus is the firstborn of the Father in the spirit and the only begotten in the flesh. His perfections and attributes have been part of his character forever. Only he was capable of performing the atonement required to meet the penalty for the sins of mankind and overcome the physical death associated with mortality in the Father's plan. I have pondered on a regular basis for many years what it means to be called a father. My small children now grown up have called me dad since they could talk. Fatherhood should be regarded as a privilege and when honored brings order and peace to the world. As we consider the generations each of us is an essential link in a chain of creation implemented by God in the Garden of Eden. It is about understanding who we are as individuals and human beings. How important is this opportunity to share in creation? How does one describe the feeling of seeing their own newborn child and thinking about the potential of their life?  What is the power or influence of a father or the lack thereof?  When viewed with an eternal perspective, understanding begins to unfold and we see why and how God is our Eternal Father.
